Rather than take photos that show a variety of subjects and concepts, I approached my three concentrations continuing the same idea throughout the whole process. My message throughout each series was to show how visually captivating the city is even though it’s not clean or filled with what is normally considered as beautiful: three story high houses with a garden in the front. Instead I photograph the markings on the walls created by the night owls vandalizing buildings. Each series focuses on the decayed and abandoned parts of the city that are so beautiful, including shopping carts that show up in each series. There is visual richness in cities and the chaos can create beauty even though there's writing on the walls or objectS falling apart right in front of your very eyes. To me, The color and details of rust and graffiti is intriguing to the human eye. My weakest photo out of all of the 3 series, in my opinion, is the fifth one in the first series. I technically don't think it is strong and there is no show of color in that picture as a whole like the other ones, there is no texture like the others. On the other hand, I believe that the strongest photo out of all of them is the second one in the second photo series. It includes a scene that is placed perfectly but wasn't staged and in the television you can see the reflection of trees that is so intriguing to the eye. I have so much passion for the pictures that I take and I see so much hidden beauty that should be shown.
